Message Get an accurate dollar figure on your loss (Z + 100% of mods), helps if you have receipts, if not, get quotes from dealers of the products you added, include labor for install even if you did it yourself. Have your attorney put together a "Demand Package" and present it to dealer's insurance. Prepare to get low-balled and don't accept any offer that you are not comfortable with. If they don't offer enough file suit against dealer for negligence. Just remember that your attorney will probably take some % if you do have to file suit so keep that in mind when considering the insurance offer. Also, if you insurance co gets involved, let them pay whatever they are willing too and then go after the dealer for any excess that your insurance didnt cover. Try to avoid this last scenario because the dealers ins co will not pay anything unless you sue them. It would definately help to get affidavits from some of the forum members who are qualified to value your Z and the mods (qualified = anybody who is affiliated with a company that deals with Z cars, and a few select private individuals) Hope this helps.
